In the last audio lecture, we have highlighted the major traits African states have in common. Of course, there are differences. In the first place, as William Tordoff dictates, there are at once intra-state and inter-state disparities in terms of riches and poverty. Colonialism has left different types of effects on African states. Yet, we can conveniently, and correctly too, talk about the ‘Colonial Legacy’ in the continent.
