You can follow and use any of the available First Bank USSD Code to block your bank if stolen or lost.

1. Block First Bank Using SMS:

You can automatically hot list or block your  ATM Card via mobile phone in case of theft, suspicious transactions or card loss.

All you need to do is to send SMS “BLOCK” to 30012 via the SMS alert number registered with your account.

In summary, to use First Bank USSD Code to block your bank account  if stolen or lost, send Block to 30012 via text message on your phone. Make sure you use the same number connected to your first bank account, if not it won’t go.

2. Block First Bank Using the Mobile App:
  1. Open your First Bank Mobile App (First Mobile)
  2. Press Option and then go to Card Services
  3. Select your card type and then click on Hot LIST CARD,  and you will be directed on what to do. Ensure you follow all instruction to complete the action.

Please note that these codes will only work on the phone number you registered with your bank or you have used for registration.

Here are some other equally useful codes:

  • To check your BVN – *565*0#
  • National Identification Number (NIN) – *346#
  • NHF registration/number – *219#.

Customers can also dial *894# and get access to Quick Banking services in a menu-based layout without having to dial the codes.

When dialed, two options are displayed for the customer to choose from:

  • Quick Banking- Follow prompts to access the listed services for FirstBank account holders ONLY.
  • Firstmonie- For electronic wallet- based transactions. This product is available to both account holders and non-account holders.
