7 Phones that Has the Best Camera Quality

The phones that has the best camera quality changes regularly, but the current top of the phones that has the best camera quality is the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. This doesn’t mean it will be the best choice for everyone, though; considering what you actually need from your camera phone before choosing, Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a good choice.

However, to choose the best camera phone, there are many factors to consider if camera quality factors heavily fit into your smartphone purchasing decision. A good way to start is by asking yourself what kinds of videos and photos you see yourself taking. When choosing a camera phone you should consider the types of video and photo you want to take. If you want to photograph wildlife or other things you can’t easily get close to then a telephoto lens is essential, while for landscapes a good ultra-wide is your friend. Check the list below.

7 Phones that Has the Best Camera Quality

  • Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Apple iPhone 13 mini
  • Google Pixel 7 Pro
  • Google Pixel 6a
  • Samsung Galaxy S23
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus

1. Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

iPhone 14 Pro Max  is one of the phones that has the best camera quality worldwide. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the pinnacle of iPhones, including its camera. It has it all: optical zoom, stabilized lenses, a big screen for editing, and excellent battery life for extended shooting.

The iPhone also tends to have the best third-party camera and social media apps, making this the prime choice for content creators. iPhone 14 Pro Max is the best for photography and especially for videography.

2. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is another reigning phone that has the best camera quality because of it’s incredible versatility. It boasts so many lenses and features that there is simply no photo it can’t shoot. Other devices may produce slightly better images in some situations, but the Galaxy S23 Ultra can handle every situation well, from close-ups to night photos to ultrazoom distances.

Samsung also continues to work closely with big social brands like Snap, TikTok and Instagram to ensure that the S23 Ultra benefits from higher fidelity image and video quality, as well as tighter integration with creative features within each social app, something rival Android phone makers miss out on.

3. Apple iPhone 13 mini

The iPhone 13 mini is another good camera phone on the market. From a camera perspective, that means you can easily hold it in one hand and hit the shutter button while doing something with your other hand which can be really difficult with a lot of other handsets right now. Anyone who want to shoot good videos and photos should check out the iPhone 13 at the store.

4. Google Pixel 7 Pro

The Pixel 7 Pro’s combination of sensors, lenses, software tweaks, and Tensor processor algorithms keeps Google near the top of the camera phone game. Highlights include Magic Eraser (to get rid of photobombers), Real Tone (to capture accurate skin tones), and Face Unblur (to remove blur from faces in motion).

The Google Pixel 7 is a (slightly) more affordable alternative to the Pixel 7 Pro, which we’re currently calling the best Pixel camera phone.

While the Pixel 7 lacks the 48MP telephoto sensor that remains exclusive to the Pixel 7 Pro, you’re still getting the same 50MP main camera as that phone, as well as a similar 12MP ultra-wide (although unlike on the Pro, this sensor lacks autofocus, and thus there’s no new Macro Focus mode on the standard 7).

What’s more, you also get the same 10.8MP punch-hole selfie snapper across both the standard and Pro models, plus 4K video recording up to 60fps and support for 10-bit HDR video capture for better colors, brightness and contrast.

While the hardware is interesting, the Pixel camera experience is really more about the processing and software, which here are supported by that Tensor G2 chip.

5. Google Pixel 6a

Google’s Pixel 6a uses the same Tensor chip for processing photos as its more expensive brethren, which means the same super-fast autofocus, smart color judgment, and AI-enhanced editing features. It does lack the Pixel 7 Pro’s optical zoom, however.

Google has a habit of delivering excellent photography experiences on its phones, and the Google Pixel 6 Pro is no exception. In fact, its hardware and software both saw huge upgrades from the Pixel 5, so much so that you should just forget its older phones if you’re a photo fan.

The phone has a 50MP f/1.9 main sensor with 1.2µm pixels, and in our tests we found it capable of taking excellent photos, with good detail, and colors that were true to life. That’s joined by a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field of view, and a 48MP f/3.5 telephoto snapper which offers 4x optical zoom, both of which performed well in our tests, if not quite as well as the Samsung above.

6. Samsung Galaxy S23

The Galaxy S23 offers something you won’t find on a comparably priced iPhone  a telephoto lens. And thanks to its support for 3x optical and 30x digital, that camera lets you get up close for very detailed shots. In fact, the entire rear camera setup of the Galaxy S23 impresses. Like the other S23 phones, it boasts improved night photography and does a much better job of handling colors without over-saturation.

7. Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus

The Galaxy S23 Plus has a lone 12-megapixel front-facing selfie camera and three rear-facing cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Galaxy S23+ doesn’t capture headlines for its photography features like the S23 Ultra, but it still produces very good images with plenty of saturation. You also get many capture modes, including high-resolution images, nighttime scenes, and multiple exposures.
