University of Denver Undergraduate Admission Form and Requirement
The University of Denver accepts undergraduate applications through the Common Application (Common App). First-year students, transfer students, and international applicants can apply online by completing the application form and submitting the required documents.
Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Applicants are generally required to submit the following:
- Completed Common Application
- Fill out and submit the online application form through the Common App.
- Application Essay
- A personal essay is included as part of the Common Application.
- Official High School Transcript
- Submit your secondary school academic records for evaluation.
- Letters of Recommendation
- Recommendation letters from teachers, counselors, or other qualified individuals are encouraged.
- Standardized Test Scores (Optional)
- The University of Denver is test-optional. Applicants may submit SAT or ACT scores, but they are not required for admission consideration.
- English Language Proficiency (International Students)
- International applicants whose first language is not English may need to provide proof of English proficiency through approved tests or qualifying exemptions.
- Application Fee
- A non-refundable application fee of $65 is required. Fee waivers may be available for eligible students.
How to Apply for University of Denver Undergraduate Admission
- Create a Common App Account
Visit the Common Application website and create an account. Select the University of Denver from the list of participating institutions.
- Complete the Application Form
Provide your personal information, educational history, extracurricular activities, and intended area of study. Complete the required essay section.
- Upload Supporting Documents
Submit your high school transcripts, recommendation letters, and any additional program-specific materials if required.
- Submit Test Scores (Optional)
If you believe your SAT or ACT scores will strengthen your application, you may choose to submit them. Otherwise, you can apply under the test-optional policy.
- Pay the Application Fee
Pay the $65 application fee through the Common App portal or request a fee waiver if you qualify.

- November 1 – Early Decision I and Early Action
- January 15 – Early Decision II and Regular Decision
Early Action and Regular Decision are non-binding, while Early Decision is a binding admission agreement.
