Why Stingy Man/Woman Association of Nigeria Not A Good Puzzle

Why Stingy Man/Woman Association of Nigeria has become a trend is not farfetched since we  live in a world where trust can no longer be seen as a buyable commodity across all relationships, especially between a man and a woman.

Why Stingy Man/Woman Association of Nigeria Not A Good Puzzle

To many, this popular topic is a welcome idea even though they do not yet understand it where and why it is founded. This lack of understanding of its essence is informed by the controversies that it breeds among those who are known givers, those who cannot give because they do not have and those who now thinks giving is a crime or a shameful act.

Why Stingy Man/Woman Association of Nigeria Not A Good Puzzle?

First, it started as one of those comic reliefs Nigerians often comfort themselves with.

But in a flight of hours which grows to become a matter of days, it is surprising how what ought to be termed a joke becomes some serious trend which now begs the trifling contributions of social
figures such as politicians, musicians, and many more who have made their membership statuses public.

Isn’t that funny, how people who are rumored for their generous philandering got taken by this charm?

Of recent cases, Dino Melaye, Don Jazzy, Deji Adeyanju, to mention but a few of our pointable examples of celebrities and leaders who have hastily joined the train of the much acclaimed Stingy
Men Association of Nigeria (SMAN) as established by the Nigerian youths.
Even then as long as its motto remains “Let me see what I can do”, it is certain that its members will do nothing just as the name of the ludicrous association implies, ‘stingy.’

In response to the above claim, a whole new but contrasting claim evolve! It’s the Stingy Woman Association of Nigeria (SWAN).

This body emphasises an argument that seems more confrontational as they tend more directly to adopt the ‘Eye for an Eye’ retaliatory principle in a bid to protect their ego.

Their point however is, inasmuch as the men decide to be closefisted with their monetary resources, there is nothing wrong in disallowing the same men from enjoying access to their bodies too, that is, to close up their legs in a much the same way the men close up their pockets.

Interesting!

As a social critic, the famous voice of the Reno Omokri Nuggets on Twitter, of course, did not hesitate to use the claim of SWAN as a corroboration of his former arguments that most ladies who call themselves ‘Slay Mamas’ are nothing but light-fingered prostitutes who solely depend on men’s money for survival.

Does this however mean the men are right?

The answer to this question is found in the book of Proverbs, which is one of the ancient books of wisdom ever written by King Solomon in the Bible. It reads:

“Do not eat the bread of a man who is stingy; do not desire his delicacies, for he is like one who is inwardly calculating. ‘EAT AND DRINK!’ he says to you, but his heart is not with you. You will
vomit up the morsels that you have eaten, and waste your pleasant words.” Proverbs 28:6-8.

The above quote certainly translates the unworthiness of both claims from both associations about the concept of stinginess. Rather, it is as dangerous to be stingy either as a decisive or responsive reaction as it is wasteful.

In conclusion, the popular words of George Granville, 1st Baron Lansdowne will forever remain golden in the struggle against embracing the concept in both men and women. His words bluntly frowns at the wiles of irresponsibility which implicitly explain the major feature of what could be termed as hell on earth. He therefore opens our eyes up to the need to rather create heaven where hell does not deserve to be entertained, thus he says:

“There is no heaven like mutual love.”
